Movie Night

On Friday, September 20th we hosted a free movie night at our Community Centre, which has not been done for several years. The last movie night we held had 21 individuals in attendance and therefore, we could not have predicted the 100s of people in attendance at this event. Movie Night did not run as smoothly as we anticipated due to a technical difficulty, a large crowd and unsupervised children. The largest disappointment was children not being supervised or being left without proper adult supervision which left children disrupting the movie and ruining the experience for others in attendance. As well, disrespect was shown to our staff and volunteers. This is not acceptable and will not be tolerated in the future.

Moving forward, modifications will be made to movie nights to ensure the experience will be enjoyable for everyone.

We appreciate and thank everyone who had patience with us that evening and were kind to our staff and volunteers, knowing that we were doing our best to manage in the circumstances we were in. Please accept our sincere apology for any frustration this may have caused to you and your family and we hope to see you at future events.
