Support our Holiday Helper Household Christmas Hamper Program

Hampers Will Be Delivered to Local Foodbank from November 27th to December 18th

This Christmas season, we are aiming to bring joy and warmth to families in need through our Christmas Hamper Program, and we need your help to make it happen!

Did you know our local foodbank services 300 families per month? Due to this overwhelming need in our community, we are unable to manage full hampers this year and have decided to run a different program…our Holiday Helper Household baskets which will be filled with essential household items. We are hoping to reach our goal of delivering 300 of these baskets to our local foodbank for distribution.

We are seeking donations of household essential items such as laundry soap, dish soap, tea towels and dish cloths, a roll of paper towel, package of toilet paper and a household cleaner. We will then package these items up in a laundry basket wrapped in cellophane for easy delivery. Additionally, monetary contributions are crucial in helping us purchase any remaining items needed to complete the baskets. For all monetary donations $25 or more, we are pleased to offer tax receipts as a token of our appreciation.

If you’re a business, individual or family who would like to make a larger impact, we invite you to consider becoming a sponsor by creating your own Holiday Helper Household basket and dropping it off at our Centre! Each sponsored basket will be recognized with your name on it.

How You Can Help:

Donate any household essential items as referred to above to include in our baskets
Make a monetary donation – any amount is welcome! Donations of $25 or more will receive a tax receipt
Become a basket sponsor to help us reach our goal – you can do this 1 of 2 ways:
Provide a monetary donation of $30 and we will take care of creating the basket (tax receipt will be provided); or
Provide us with your own Holiday Helper Household Christmas Hamper and drop it off at our Centre for distribution
Donate non-perishable food items (canned goods, rice, etc) and/or holiday treats and small gifts for children

Every donation makes a difference! Together we can ensure that 300 families in our community have a brighter holiday season.
